Astronomy Beginners Course - Feb 19 to Mar 25

The Astronomical Society of the South West will be conducting Astronomy Classes for Beginners at their Observatory, Keble Heights, College Grove, Bunbury, for six consecutive Wednesdays commencing on Wednesday the 19th of February 2020 at 6.00pm, and following weeks at 6.30pm.

This is a perfect opportunity to jump in and learn about astronomy and all there is to know for viewing the night sky. Each night will feature a different topic with talks and a DVD presentation, followed by viewing outside with members and like-minded people to chat with.

Topics covered include:

  • Stars & Constellations
  • Planets
  • Moon
  • Telescopes
  • Galaxies
  • Asteroids & Comets

The usual duration of each night is 90-120 minutes, depending on clear weather and if any catch-up is needed from bad weather previous weeks.
